Tamara Hatwan, originally from Chicago, received a Bachelor of Music degree from Northwestern University in 1987 and a Master of Music degree from USC in 1989.
She has been a member of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra since 1989 and a member of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra since its inception in 1991. She was assistant concertmaster of the Long Beach Symphony from 1989-2000 and has previously been a member of the Pacific Symphony and the LA Opera orchestra.
She has performed on concert stages in North and South America, Europe and Asia, as well as a variety of Hollywood venues including The Tonight Show and the GRAMMY® and Academy® awards. She has recorded soundtracks of over 900 major motion pictures. She met her husband Mark, production director of KUSC Radio, at a LACO rehearsal! They reside in Studio City with their sons Jackson and Cooper.
