Last weekend, in collaboration with Glendale Arts, Brand Library & Art Center and LAMusArt, we gave patrons a chance to take a behind-the-scenes look and listen as Jaime Martín put the finishing touches on Beethoven’s Symphony 7.

Kids, families and casual listeners had a chance to discover what increasing numbers of hardcore classical music fans have already realized — at rehearsal you see music come to life.

After the program, families were invited for complimentary refreshments and a visit from the Brand Library & Art Center’s Musical Petting Zoo. Families got to try out instruments, including drums and percussion, keyboards, guitars, wind instruments and more. Also on hand were our partners LAMusArt, sharing info on the affordable, multidisciplinary and sequential arts instruction they provide for kids in East LA.
