Following the success of Music Box 2022, Chamber Music LA members team up again to present a joyous afternoon celebrating one of the most quintessential chamber ensembles: the string quartet.

The string quartet has been a staple of chamber music since the time of Mozart, an instrumental format that is flexible in scope and expression. In this program, Felix Mendelssohn and Schubert bring lyricism and soul, while an early work by Schoenberg reveals his brilliance and mastery, long before leaving an indelible mark on 20th century music. A mystery quartet makes an appearance, with an entertaining game for both performer and audience.
