ARTISANS: MARTÍN + HAYDN + BEAL
Saturday, Nov 2 | 7:30 PM | Alex Theatre
Sunday, Nov 3 | 4 PM | The Wallis
Follow the Austrian lineage of the classical symphony. Like wisdom passed between generations, hear the truth in Haydn’s seventh symphony, “Midday,” then witness the form mature in Beethoven’s brilliant evolution with Overture to Egmont and Symphony No. 1 in C major. Participate in the living growth of the art form with the West Coast premiere of Jeff Beal’s violin concerto with Kelly Hall-Tompkins.
